Evolving Technologies – Tools Or Toys?
What is the digital disruption and how is it different from being innovative? This talk will overview new technologies, in wearable technology, implantable technology, artificial intelligence, robotics and gamification and consider how they might in the future impact learning and University learning environments. What do we need to be ready to take advantage of? Is this new technology a tool or a toy?
The Learning Resources portfolio includes; the UC Libraries, Information Technology Services, E-Learning Unit, Facilities Services, Campus Services and Capital Works and Planning. These departments are the working homes of 360 talented and passionate people who are busy supporting our student and academic community while delivering a billion dollar capital recovery programme.
