The CAT evolution: from support to trainer
Danielle first joined ITS as a member of the Service Desk, providing first level technical support on the different technologies and resources in the university. Last year, she joined the Learning and Research Technology team on a secondment as a Corporate Learning and Teaching Technology Specialist, a variation of the role previously known as CAT, which then evolved to her position of Workplace Technology Trainer.
This presentation will go over her journey and how the transition from a support role to that of a trainer occurred, and how her background experience assisted her in shaping her job.
Danielle Pohlod is the Workplace Technology Trainer at VUW, offering training to professional and academic staff members. She is part of the Learning and Research Technology team, which enable ITS to support and build digital capability in the core university functions of research, learning, teaching an enhancing the student experiencies.
