Presentation TitleData Democratization: BI For Everyone
AbstractBusiness Intelligence or (BI) is a big topic today in the world of business. But what does BI mean? And how can we use Business Intelligence to help in strategic Decision Making.
Admissions season is a very important time for AUT. During this time there is a strong need for Business Intelligence. With staff in need of different admission information, instead of asking each users to go to a reporting portal and get lost trying to find relevant reports. We have created a delivery method that is easily accessible, helps provides meaningful context and allows conversation. Admissions assist is a Office 365 Business Intelligence centre for all things Admissions. Here users can not only find reports relevant to their needs, but it allows us to provide strong insights to information. We can provide information on the data present, we can also provide analysis on the information perhaps comparing the data to previous years and we have a section for conversations. - Likely Conversion We use Machine Learning to predict whether an application will success or not. The model makes use of past and current student data from individual attributes to geographical patterns to do the predictions. - Potential problems Not everyone accepted did enrol. Our exception report may suggest a reason for that. Or if we look at where did our applicants actually end up, that will speak more…. - Incomplete online applications. We are not receiving that application, is there nothing we can do? Hold on. Let’s find out why applicants don’t finish the application. Our Online Applications Funnel and exception report can help. - Progression Chart Arguably the most popular chart, everyone loves to see it. But we can make it better. Switch between different axis scales. Zoom-in Zoom-out… BioKelvin Yau
