Connected Intimacy: user-centric digital identity services for education and research
Identity is the backbone of digital business, and nowhere is this more keenly felt than in research and tertiary education, where people enjoy multiple concurrent relationships of various significant and sometimes-fluid roles with multiple institutions. As the experiences we provide to our students, researchers, teachers, and professional staff are necessarily becoming more personalised and more richly connected, the challenges of consuming and providing effective contemporary digital identity services are escalating. This session considers the nature of identity in research and tertiary education and showcases an innovative experiment that bridges the New Zealand Government’s RealMe service into the life event of transitioning into tertiary education.
