Join Us for the Women in Technology Seminar!

You're invited to an inspiring half-day event, co-hosted by the University of Auckland and AUT, designed to celebrate and empower women in the tech industry.

Keynote speaker - Dr. Mahsa McCauley
Associate Professor at Auckland University of Technology, Co-Director of the STEM-TEC Centre at AUT and a leading voice in artificial intelligence and ethical tech. A Fulbright Scholar and Chair of AI Forum NZ, she has shaped national AI policy. Mahsa is also the founder of She Sharp, a non-profit dedicated to empowering women and non-binary individuals in STEM, with over 2,000 members and 80+ events nationwide.

Mahek Nangia

Mahek is a Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services.  She is a former UoA alumni and completed her Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Systems in 2022. She joined AWS as a graduate and is a strong advocate for promoting women in STEM programs. She mentors women in the SheBuilds program at AWS and runs regular workshops for the Computer Science capstone projects. 

Mahek has been involved in technology from 2016 where she started teaching kids from the age of 5 coding, robotics, electronics and 3D printing at SCRATCHPAD, a group of technology learning centers. She has mentored multiple Robocup Junior teams during her time there with one team winning regionals and coming second at nationals.
